Herb Boxes

I always try to find ways to re-use items and cut costs. For our centerpieces we decided to create something that was natural and planted. I liked the idea of using  old barn wood for the outer container. Thankfully my dad and fiance are very crafty and handy! They spent a whole day making all the boxes. I then planted all the boxes with herbs and succulents.

Be creative and crafty :) I think the more homemade the better. I also encourage you to get your families involved. The more connected each person feels, the more excited they are to see how everything comes together!

Idea Board

When I first got engaged I looked through so many websites, pictures, and magazines. As I came across ideas I liked I wrote down words to help me on my way. I encourage you to do the same. I call it an idea board. Below is an example of what sprouted my inspiration.

  • succulents and herbs in pots
  • eucalyptus wreaths
  • Peacock feathers
  • Manzaneta tree
  • Wishing well
  • Dessert table
  • Pies no cake
  • Cookies, Cupcakes, Sweetheart cake, old school milk jugs for cream and milk
  • Burlap
  • Chandelier
  • Deep purple, herb green, peacock turquoise
  • Rustic
